Well what can I say about Jamaica!? Ever since I was a teenager, reggae music found a way onto my musical palette. For me it didn’t start with Bob Marley, but it did start with Supercat en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Cat .
That music back in the late 80’s and early 90’s really shaped my appreciation for Reggae Music and the Dancehall scene, this really exposed me to the Jamaican culture in general. That’s when I discovered the cuisine, yum yum yum.
Being a foodie myself, Jamaican food and me got along really well from the get go :). Curry Goat, Oxtail, Stew Fish and of course jerk chicken.! Needless to say I never thought as a teenager that I would get to travel to the country that many of my initial musical and food experiences came from.
For those of you who have been, you know what I’m talking about. Jamaica is simply stunning! It was everything that I could have hoped for. We stayed at the Sandals in Ocho Rios and will never forget it. The pictures above all taken with an Iphone 5 document a small part of our trip. I look foward to possibly going another time.
